I joined the University of Leeds as a University Academic Fellow in September 2018. Before, I was a postdoctral scientist in Dr Mark van Breugel's group in MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK and in Prof. Sir Tom L. Blunder's group in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, UK. I completed my PhD also in Prof. Blundell's lab and did my master degree in Prof. Masayoshi Nakasako's group in Keio University, Yokohama, Japan.
I am currently interested in structural studies of centrosomes and cilia but used to work on structures of proteins in non-homologous end joining DNA repair for double-strand breaks.
Apart from research, I enjoying playing the electronic guitar, turntables, polishing lether products and pouring good coffee!
